Recent skype discussion DAN4510

The most recent skype discussion for module DAN4510, focusing on the synthesis of information through reflection. We discussed how the module has supported our thinking, and helped us to consoldiate our learning and where we are presently in our practice.

It was refreshing to hear other's experiences within the module and how everyone's learning experience are different. Throughout the discussion, I felt myself moving through another reflective process, questioning some of my original ideas. However, posing questions through discussion helped me to clarify my own learning and experiences.

I have been thinking of my own reflection as an internal learning conversation. Usually in a conversation, I strive for an end outcome, so I can consolidate my own thoughts and gain perspective on the conversation taken place. Applying this to my role, this could be a reflective scenario with another teacher regarding a lesson. Asking questions such as 'would you have done anything differently?' Advice is given, applied and practice is continued. However when in an individual reflective scenario, my internal conversation have felt confusing, because I couldn't pinpoint a closing statement. I realised reflection is continual. Some conversations never close and are ongoing, which doesn't mean this should have a negative impact, but a positive. As we are learning, we are growing.

As I bring my essay together, I aim to edit/write this as a continual process, which reflects how I have learned how their is no end product, but continual discussion for growth and development.
